Last week a friend of mine passed away. It was a bit of a surprise considering she was 19, and from what I can tell it was due to complications from diabetes. Britney Carle was too young to leave us. In lieu of flowers, her family asked us to make donations to The American Diabetes Association. As I usually do, I found some creative way to acknowledge the loss of someone. This time, however, I am putting the painting on eBay, and all the proceeds will go to the aforementioned American Diabetes Association. Please take a look and if you feel like you can spare some cash, bid.
Or a stroke like experience. It was probably brought on by Legally Blonde: The Musical, which was just on MTV. During the ending credits, they said "Andrew Bird shouldn't whistle so much."
The lesson we just learned is Legally Blonde: the musical is bad for your health but good for Andrew Bird.
There is a Superman animated movie coming out which only lists three of the actors and I had to blink.
The Superman Animated series, produced by Paul Dini that was on the air 10 years ago starred Dana Delaney as Lois Lane, Tim Daily as Superman and the gravely voiced Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. The series was wonderfully cast, with top notch actors filling out the rogues gallery.
They are doing a new Superman Animated film. However, it looks like Paul Dini has to have a new cast. According to IMDB, Superman: Doomsday will Ann Hache is Lois Lane, I have no problems with this, however, James Marsters and Adam Baldwin fill out the cast. But not as you think. The Gravely voiced Baldwin is Superman and Marsters will play Lex Luthor.
It makes me think of a time I was out with some girl and we ducked into R. Michelson Galleries in Northampton, MA. For those who are not familiar with the Gallery, they have a great collection of works from Dr. Suess to Billy Dee Williams (That's right Lando Calrissian!) There was a gallery reseption for Vonnegut. I just wish I knew more about him then, maybe had a conversation...
Surly the Fox network will dissapoint me once again. After canceling such wonderful shows such as Firefly, The Tick, Kindred the Embraced, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Strange Luck, Warewolf, Ryan Caufield: Year One, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., The Lone Gunmen, Harsh Realm and after 9 short seasons, The X Files, they are developing possibly the greatest conceived comedy **EVER**
It is about a looser dentist who gets bionics inplanted and turns to none other then Lee Majors for the sergery. The Show will be called "Me & Lee" This may even rival "Heat Vision and Jack! (Yes it's 30 minutes long but if you havn't seen this it is worth watching just for the sheer level of brilliance. Trust me!)
